When Jayne Hamilton completed her doctorate in autism, special needs specialising in time management and time perspectives, she realised she had amassed some really useful research that could be used to change lives. This prompted her to co-found Studyseed CIC.
This small team of experts have taken on the serious responsibility of educating those who have missed out on, or been left behind by traditional education. They earn money from tutoring kids, young people, adults. Then they use the profits to offer mentoring and educational support for free to people in the care system or people living in poverty. Working with people who may have all kinds of learning or educational needs, they pride themselves on their ability to find a way to help everyone.
This is an excellent example of a social enterprise that is quietly changing lives and making generational changes for many families in and around NI. Read more at studyseed.co.uk
