Resurgam Trust has saved one of Hilden’s most beloved buildings, creating two new social enterprises (The Tea Room at Hilden Mill and Little Weavers Day Care) and 25 new jobs in the process.
Resurgam earns profits from its many social enterprises including Laganview Enterprise Centre, Laganview Community Gym, Laganview Business Services, Servo Contract Services, New Horizons Credit Union, Lisburn Community Inns and the Resurgam Community-led Housing Model. This profit is then reinvested right back into their community work and youth interventions. Lisburn Safe project is one such initiative. Part funded by Lisburn and Castlereagh Council, staffed by volunteers and created in conjunction with the PSNI and other stakeholders, Lisburn Safe brings community interventions to low level anti-social behaviour, helping residents to feel safe.
You can support the work of Resurgam Trust by visiting The Team Room at Hilden Mill where fresh baking is matched with exceptional coffee every day. If you know anyone with young children in the Lisburn/Hilden area, you can recommend Little Weavers Daycare, where fully trained staff work with babies, toddlers and preschool children, feeding them with wholesome foods made onsite from veg from the onsite veg garden.
