Supporting Vulnerable Individuals After Storm Éowyn

Supporting Communities After Storm Éowyn

Community organisations continue to play a vital role in assisting individuals still without power following Storm Éowyn. With many homes affected and some residents unable to access Community Assistance Centres, the support provided by the sector remains essential.

Local Councils have secured additional funding to aid those impacted, with community groups playing a key part in identifying those most in need and ensuring they receive necessary assistance.

Organisations are encouraged to:
1️⃣ Identify individuals still without power
2️⃣ Assess their needs, including:

  • Emergency food and water
  • Torches and blankets
  • Transport to assistance centres and essential services
3️⃣ Access available funding to ensure these needs are met
