SENI is so proud to promote our Social Enterprise of the Month, Repair and Share Foyle. Founded by Caroline McGuinness and a team of volunteer fixers in 2022, their social purpose combines waste reduction, with sharing skills and strengthening communities.
In 2024, the team secured their premises and set about shaping a hub for reusing, repairing and reducing waste in Derry. Alongside workshops and repair cafes, their initiatives include:
Library of Things where for £30 a year, you can borrow everything from tools and ladders to pop corn machines.
Legenderry Colours, a paint reuse project that remanufactures paint and sells it onto the community at a reasonable price.
Tech Connect, a laptop reuse project where old laptops are expertly cleaned, wiped down and redistributed to local charity partners or sold at a drastically reduced rate to those who need them.
Fixing Factory, a hassle-free, drop in repair service for busy people!
If you want to read more about Repair & Share Foyle, visit their website repairsharefoyle.org and follow them on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. We will also be releasing a series of interviews with Caroline throughout SENI socials.
