Are you a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) or early-stage entrepreneur in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland looking to innovate? The Innovation Voucher scheme could be your gateway to accessing expert academic skills and resources!

💡 What is an Innovation Voucher?
An Innovation Voucher provides up to £5,000 to help SMEs and startups access academic expertise from registered Knowledge Providers like universities and research institutions. Use it to develop new products, improve processes, or explore cutting-edge technologies.

🔍 Who Can Apply?
SMEs, social enterprises, and third-sector organizations with fewer than 250 employees are eligible, provided they haven’t received similar assistance from Invest NI’s Grant for R&D in the past five years. Note: Medium-sized businesses with over 50 employees must meet specific criteria and cannot have used R&D grants recently.

You can use your voucher with approved Knowledge Providers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Check the list here: Knowledge Providers.

🚫 What Can’t You Use It For?
Exclusions include standard mobile apps, general sales and marketing activities, business plans, and equipment purchases.
